Terms of Service

Terms for using Own Auth Delivery.

Last updated: July 9, 2026

The Service

Own Auth Delivery sends authentication emails for apps using Own Auth. It can send magic links, email verification messages, password reset messages, and organisation invitation emails.

Own Auth Delivery does not create your app's login tokens, verify your app's sessions, or store your app's users. The Own Auth package handles auth logic. This service handles email delivery.

Accounts

You need a dashboard account to create apps, configure allowed URLs, create delivery keys, and view app delivery email logs.

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for activity that happens through your account or delivery keys.

Apps And Delivery Keys

A developer account can manage multiple standalone apps. Each app has its own allowed URLs, daily send limit, delivery keys, and app delivery email logs.

  • delivery keys must stay on your backend
  • raw delivery keys are shown only once
  • revoked keys must stop being used by your app
  • allowed URLs should only include URLs controlled by your app

Acceptable Use

Own Auth Delivery is for authentication email only. Do not use it for marketing campaigns, newsletters, cold outreach, spam, phishing, malware, impersonation, or other unrelated messaging.

We may limit, suspend, or block delivery that appears abusive, unsafe, illegal, or likely to harm users, recipients, email infrastructure, or the Own Auth service.

Email Delivery

We work to deliver emails reliably, but email delivery is not guaranteed. Delivery can be affected by recipient inbox rules, providers, rate limits, network issues, sender reputation, or abuse controls.

You are responsible for configuring your app's auth flows so users can safely recover from delayed, failed, or expired email links.

Security

Delivery keys are secrets. You must not expose them in browser code, mobile apps, public repositories, logs, screenshots, or client-side bundles.

If you believe a delivery key was exposed, rotate or revoke it from the dashboard as soon as possible.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use of Own Auth Delivery after the terms change means you accept the updated terms.
