Backfill

Populate Cloud after connecting an existing application.

Run a backfill

Call auth.cloud.backfill() after connecting an existing app. It copies current users, organisations, active memberships, and active sessions. Progress is saved locally so interrupted backfills resume from the last cursor.

ts
await auth.cloud.backfill({
  batchSize: 100,
  onProgress: ({ sent }) => console.log(sent)
});

Limits

Cloud accepts up to 500 records per request and 500 records per second per app. Regular event ingestion continues while a backfill is running, and entity versions prevent older snapshots from replacing newer events.
